        Born in London in 1797, her mother, Mary Wollstonecraft, died in childbirth, was one of the first feminist. Her father was the writer and journalist William Godwin who became famous with his work An Enquiry Concerning Political Justice.
        In her childhood, she had to educate herself. At the age of 10, she published her first poem. At 16, she ran away to France with Percy Shelley. They married in 1816.
        She started writing Frankenstein on summer in 1816 when she joined Lord Byron who gave her the challenge to write the most frightening ghost story.
